I'm a sister of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated. This past weekend I had a mini reunion with my sorority chapter sisters. It was just nice seeing everyone. I haven't seen some of them in years. There was also a stroll competition held by United Council of Fraternities and Sororities (UCFS) that we attended. I know I'm getting old though because the one day and one night I was actually at my alma mater wore me out. The 5 hour drive tired me out too. I got home and slept for more than 12 hours and was still tired when I got up.
One of my sisters was the host for the stroll competition

This was one of the highlights of the stroll competition for me. If you can't really hear the music, it's Beyonce's Single Ladies.
A.Rose: I didn't even know that weekend was the Culture Show. I would have dropped by if I knew it was.
Tamika: I need to learn how to dance like him.
MakeupByRenRen: He did it again at the club when that song came on. I used to be more involved with my sorority but, I'm trying to get more involved again. It can definitely tire you out.
Christle: He can't touch your "Don't go chasing waterfalls" dance.
Sonya: He was moving his legs so fast.
Janelle: I'd rather go to Walmart or watch a movie at night now.
This list includes modified and non-modified Curly Girl Method shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Any silicones in the following products are indicated. Water soluble silicones, such as Dimethicone copolyol, Hydrolyzed wheat protein hydroxypropyl polysiloxane, Lauryl methicone copolyol and silicones with PEG listed before it, will wash out with water. Slightly soluble silicones, such as Amodimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Behenoxy dimethicone, and Stearoxy dimethicone may build up on hair but, some have found it will wash out with a conditioner wash or no/low poo shampoo. If you need more information about "bad" and "good" silicones, click here and here. Always double check formulas before purchasing because formulas may change and on the list below I don't flag other ingredients which your hair may or may not benefit from i.e., glycerin, alcohol, protein, etc. You may also find that products are listed in multiple categories because they have multiple uses. Remember this is supposed to be fun so don't get too frustrated as you experiment with products.
The list is broken up into 4 major categories: shampoo, conditioner, styling products and oils. Shampoo and oils are not broken down further. Conditioner is broken down into 3 categories: co-wash conditioner, rinse out conditioner, deep conditioner and leave-in conditioner. Co-wash conditioner is usually a cheaper, thinner conditioner. Rinse out conditioners are usually heavier and more expensive. Styling products are broken down into 8 categories: cream, gel, heat protectant, mousse, pomade, serum, shine enhancing/moisture products (non-spray) form, and styling/shine spray.
The easiest way to view this list is to cut and paste it into a Word document or similiar program.
